Our Story

Every movement has a beginning.

Before there was Black Rose Undefeated, there was FSB—an idea for a skateboard brand created by founder Ty Peaks and one of his closest friends. It was the first spark of what would eventually become something much bigger.

In 2016, everything changed.

Ty watched a commercial featuring the poem “The Rose That Grew from Concrete,” and something clicked. The message stayed with him. It wasn’t just about surviving difficult circumstances—it was about growing through them. From that moment on, Ty knew he wanted to create more than just clothing. He wanted to build a movement that reminded people to stay true to themselves, embrace what makes them different, and never stop growing.

For nearly a year, he searched for the perfect name. Nothing felt right.

Then one day it came to him:

Black Rose Undefeated.

Why Black Rose?

Because a black rose is rare. It’s different. You don’t see them every day, and if you did, you’d stop and admire it. That’s exactly how Ty wanted people to see themselves—not by fitting in, but by embracing what makes them unique.

The word “Undefeated” represents resilience. Life will challenge you, but your circumstances don’t have to define your future. No matter what you face, you can continue to grow.

In 2018, Black Rose Undefeated officially came to life.

There were no factories, no warehouses, and no big budget. Just Hanes T-shirts, printed designs, an iron, and a dream. Ty made the shirts himself and sold them for just $5 each. Those first designs may have been simple, but they laid the foundation for everything Black Rose Undefeated has become.

You’ll find those original designs below because we’ll never forget where we started. Without those first shirts, there would be no Black Rose Undefeated.

Today, this isn’t just a clothing brand.

It’s a community.

It’s a reminder that growth is a lifelong journey.

It’s proof that you can start with almost nothing and build something meaningful through consistency, faith, and hard work.
